ROMANCE: "LONG DOWN WALKS" BY KARIM

I yearn for love, not because I told you
You're a Marvin I met in dawn hours
When thou gripping got my London bridges down
And such is you
The definition of reciprocation.

I thought you said love is your true caliber
You promised to live with me elegantly
But this is where you have brought us
I want to bless our meeting day
But my heart is imploring me.

I want to be an eloquent speaker
But my words are failing me
Like a river that has run dry
My heartbeat triples with thoughts
Thoughts on why I chose you instead?

Letting me to the barren marriage of old pretty
But there's a meaning to love
That I don't want to lose you in the process

I tried all I could to keep us
But it seems not operating
I tried to nurture our love like a rose
But you never wanted to bloom
But likewise even in the darkest night
God still operates.

The poet persona loves a woman and tries all his best to balance affection between them. Yet, this woman is not seeming reciprocative. Still, the voice of this poem believes God shall intervene positively.
