APOSTROPHIC: "USE ME, O LORD" BY NIEL
Let the words of my mouth,
Rise like incense before Your throne.
Holy, acceptable,
A fragrance of glory to Your name.
Let the work of my hands,
Be evidence of Your power on earth,
Proof that the unseen God
Still moves among men.
Let my heart,
This fragile vessel of clay,
Beat only to the rhythm of Your praise.
Let the voice within me.
Echo redemption to dying souls,
Whisper life into broken places,
And awaken hope where darkness dwells.
When Your voice thunders,
Let mountains tremble.
And let every force that stands against me,
Stumble at the sound of Your name.
As the sun rises without permission,
So shall my worship ascend without restraint.
From the depths of my being,
Songs of praise will overflow,
Unforced, unbroken, unending.
Like the joy found in a beloved son,
Let my soul soar beyond limits,
Breaking every chain of doubt,
Reaching heights only Your Spirit can carry.
Use me, O Lord,
Not in comfort, but in purpose.
Not in ease, but in power.
Use me, O Lord,
My God,
My strength,
My all in all.
Let Your presence consume my soul,
Till there is nothing left of me.
And everything that remains,
Reflects only You.
Let Your power overshadow me,
Like a mantle of fire,
Like glory too heavy to ignore.
My Creator,
My Sustainer,
My Comforter.
If I must burn,
Let me burn for You.
If I must speak,
Let it be Your voice they hear.
And if I must live,
Let my life be a living testament.
That God still reigns…
And He still uses men.
