UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT MONITORS FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
The University Management represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Oseni Taiwo AFISI, has intensified efforts to monitor the ongoing first semester examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session, which commenced on Monday, 26th January 2026. This exercise aims to ensure orderliness, transparency, and strict compliance with academic standards.
On Tuesday, 27th January 2026, the monitoring team led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) continued its comprehensive tour of examination venues, visiting Faculties of Social Sciences and Law, and the School of Library, Archival and Information Science.
Speaking during the exercise, Professor Afisi expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the examinations thus far. He commended both staff and students for their exemplary cooperation and urged them to remain steadfast in adhering to examination rules and regulations.
Professor Afisi emphasised that maintaining the integrity of the examination process remains a top priority for the University. He noted that such monitoring exercises are essential in upholding the institution's reputation for academic excellence and credibility, and assured the university community that the Management remains fully committed to sustaining a credible, smooth, and hitch-free examination process. He confirmed that the monitoring exercise would continue across all LASU campuses until the conclusion of the examinations, with teams making regular visits to ensure that the highest standards are maintained throughout.
The monitoring initiative forms part of the University's ongoing efforts to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms and reinforce public confidence in the value and integrity of LASU degrees.
