RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE AMONGST THE YORUBA IS UNEQUALLED- BY FORMER GOVERNOR BABATUNDE RAJI FASHOLA

Here's one example:

”I was raised by a Muslim father and a Christian mother. As a child, I and my mum were devout Christians, we attended Saint Jude Cathedral in Ebute Meta Lagos before declaring, 'ok mother , I am leaving you, I am going to worship like my father.

Now, my wife is a Christian, we have never had conversations about religion before despite the fact that she and her mother hold titles in the Catholic church.

  

Throughout the month of Ramadan , she and I share meals and break our fast together. We just finished celebrating Christmas and New year. We should learn to tolerate each other in Nigeria."
