DON'T ASPIRE TO MARRY BUT ASPIRE TO BE A BETTER VERSION OF YOURSELF- BY CASSANDRA UMEGHALU
Chimamanda said in her latest interview that "marriage is wonderful if you find the right person, but it's not something you should aspire to. Don't aspire to marry, instead aspire to be a better version of yourself"
She spoke in English language not Igbo
Osadebes ran to the comment section
"What she mean is..." they started explaining what Chimamanda said because the women Chimamanda was advising are 3 years old that don't understand English.
The day women understand how these humans are scared of being single,
The day you women understand how desperate they are of being single in their mid 30s and 40s, you will pay less attention to their rants on social media.
Listen to me.
1. A man knows that if he is poor, his chances of getting married to the woman he likes is zero... yes he would get married but not to his spec of woman
That is why when a man gets money, he begins to cheat to explore his fantasy.
The moment a man's financial situation gets better, he change his wardrobe and upgrade his car so he can attract his spec of women.
2. An Osadebe knows that if a woman is financially comfortable or doing well for herself, her chances of getting married is very slim. They just want to have a baby and be free to live life in their own terms because women knows that it is children they need in their old age, not marriage... not a husband,
While men needs a wife in their old age...
Have you not been hearing stories of Nigerian women who travelled to UK with their husbands and after they got a good job and became comfortable they left the Osadebes?
NO NIGERIAN WOMAN WOULD LEAVE A HAPPY MARRIAGE.
NO WOMAN ON EARTH WOULD LEAVE A MAN THAT MAKES HER HAPPY.
Nigerian men understand these rules, it is women that are naive, that is why these men get very angry when you as a woman comes out on social media and state the kind of man you want.
When a woman states what she wants in a man, 9 out of 10 of them knows they can't meet or fit the criteria, so they become angry and start insulting her.
They know they are not marketable for marriage,
The only thing that would make a woman cast a glance at them is when they have money.
If you're a woman who is serious about starting a family and getting married, a woman who has still not seen herself being single into their 30s and 40s and even 50s while doing well for themselves, for you to get a responsible, well thinking hardworking and family oriented Nigerian man who is emotionally, physically, financially and spiritually prepared to be a husband to you and a father to your children, you have to be intentional, emotionally smart, intelligent and understand our social dynamics for you to navigate the dating pool.
9 out of 10 Osadebes are not good for your mental health
9 out of 10 of them are not marketable for a committed relationship or marriage.
9 out of 10 Nigerian men are not husband materials or father figures, they are only good for touch and go.
May the Almighty God direct us to the 1% that are different.
Amen.
Sisters... if a man comes to argue on the post, don't reply... we are on a journey to find the 1% not throw stones at rabbies infested dogs.
