PARENTHOOD IN THE RECENT GENERATION- BY CLEMENT ERNESTERICK

Parenthood in the today's world has become a tough task to handle with increasing rate of hassle-bustle that encompasses the modern tending to postmodern world. In an age where life has become expensively risky due to alarming rate of abductions, kids bingeing in harmful drugs and substances, increased cases of abortion over claims of 'unwanted pregnancies &/or children' brought about by indiscriminate, unprotected sexual practices, high rate of inflation of commodities thereby heightening the economy and standards of living, to bring up an upright child, a straight generation is a sibylline, extremely demanding a task.

Ladies claim that children are distractions, interfering with their businesses while men seek endless, uninterrupted enjoyment. While some cry just to have a child, others get but neglect or throw them away. Living in a society that has lost its moral compass makes others feel the oddity in insanity that's become commonalized; the normal anomie of a state throws the moral beings off the balance.
Raising child(ren) is a task that requires both parties to contribute to the wellbeing of the children; it is not job of a single parent to do. A woman is meant to be a helper, a companion, a compliment and as a result has an integral role in children's upbringing. It is not solely the work of the husband to provide, the wife equally contributes in ensuring that children have their provisions met, clothed decently and with modesty, have a roof over their head and have perfect health and proper education that will ensure they are corporately functional in the fast-paced digitalized, technologically advancing world.

Children that are properly raised and received equal if not equitable measure of love from their parent(s) are assertive, face life's challenges with good stamina and strength and are never bowed down by its pressures, have exuberant personality and effectively compete favourably with their fellas. But those children raised by a single parent suffer a number of challenges that I will tackle as we proceed, certain things I'll share from other competent sociologists and psychologists that have delved into such a course.
