JEREMIAD: "TRADITION EMBRACES AND FAITH DEPRIVES" BY SOMDATTA MITRA
Those blood stained red bangles still remind a horror,
The loud yowls pierce the hearts today in terror.
Their vermillion were erased in a holy bath,
Over that unprecendented tragedy which was a beaten path.
Who feels that stabbing pain which strips the heart?
That tormentation, rifting the trauma into an eternal perdition?
That red vermillion was a symbol of true love and companionship,
While smeared on the forehead during their wedding day.
Today the bare hair parting significantly unfolds the tragic desolation,
Where so many brides are left with scars in their despondent hearts.
They won't meet their bravehearts ever in life,
They won't be able to enjoy a marital bliss in any situation.
Life has gifted them with shovels of grief,
Churning their enigma into a desert full of thorns.
Has terrorism satiated the souls of Satan 's Paradise?
Has this devastation comforted those beasts whose savage will be accursed?
Who gained and who lost is not so significant,
For wars and hostility bring annihilation for innocents which is persistent.
Ordinary humans are victims of such vehement aggression,
How shall we categorise this in an apprehension?
With such heinous crimes have the assailants built palaces of terror?
Today such wars are just stripping casualties in horror.
Over a victory of accomplishing cowardice acts today,
Humanity is avenged and not humans as a matter of fact.
