UPLIFTING POEM"JUST THE WAY YOU ARE" BY SAMUEL JAMES
If only flowers would realize
How beautiful they are
They would stop swaying from left to right
To the flattery whispers of the wind
If only the sea knew how pretty she is
She'd stop whooshing in response
To the twinkling of the flirty night stars
Who would tell the sun that her smile
Makes the universe blush
And even the cock has a crush on her yellow
That's why it crows her rays out of slumber
And you, my dear was created
With the perfect clay carefully chosen
By the creator, your skin a perfect attire
For your bones. So let no man deceive you
You're beautiful just the way you are.

The poet persona personalises heavenly bodies and praises their beautiful effects upon the earth. Importantly, he admires the women with black skin and says the latter should not be discouraged by the negative words of any man.
