PROTEST POEM: "WAIT, MR. POLICE" BY MATYR
I know it's an order from above,
But remember I'm fighting for a better tomorrow for you and I,
I'm fighting for your and my kid's better future,
Do you think I deserve the bullets?
Wait, officer,
Remember you said you're a nationalist,
And being a nationalist means supporting your nation's interest,
Why are you doing the opposite, killing your nation,
Why are you betraying your country, why?
Wait, you gunman,
Before you pull that trigger, I want you to know,
I'm a son, brother, father and husband to someone,
On top of that, I'm the breadwinner,
So if you shoot me, how will they survive, will you ease their pain?
Wait, Mr. POLICE,
Your main role is to protect life and property,
And you know, life is more important than property,
But why are you taking lives while "protecting" property,
Is it right, is it fair Mr. POLICE?

The poet persona complains about the unfair treatment of Public Officer for Legal Investigations and Criminal Emergencies (POLICE) towards people. Such that the POLICE force does the otherwise of what is expected of them.
