JEREMIAD: "I AM TIRED" BY SAMUEL JAMES
Dear God, I'm tired
Tired of the endless trek
My pen does on each page of prayer
The feet of my ink is becoming sore
Dear God, I'm tired
Tired of the gathering clouds in my eyes
Leading to endless rainfalls
Incapable of growing plants
Dear God, I'm tired
Tired of always having to hang
My drenched heart to dry on faith
Knowing it will fall in the waters of hopelessness again
Dear God, I'm tired
Please help me, I drag my feet
To the place of prayer these days
Even my lips take bribe before it utters "amen".

The poet persona laments being tired over unrealized dreams. The speaker tells God the former is being weighed down and faith is reducing gradually.
