FAITH AND DESTINY: PART 2- BY PASTOR GREG ELKAN.

_“By faith Moses...”_ –  Heb 11:24

[CONTINUED FROM LAST WEEK]
The picture-perfect lives of the “elders” in Hebrew 11 only seem that way because we’re reading them from the perspective of history.  When Moses ran from Egypt, he never knew he was about to set the ball of his destiny rolling.

_“And when he was forty years old, it CAME INTO HIS HEART to visit his brethren the children of Israel...”_  – Acts 7:23-25

This is our next faith lesson from Moses. The realisation of your purpose is principally by faith. Moses entered his destiny without receiving any vision, any prophecy, and without laying any “fleece”. He simply grew up, looked at his life, and “understood” that God would deliver Israel through him.

There're Believers who’ve been called into ministry who’re still waiting for a prophecy to confirm it. They want an 18-hour vision, or the laying on of hands by a great man of God, or an angelic visit to confirm the call.

But that’s not how it works. If you’re called, you’re called. You know it. Deep down in your belly you know that, _“This is what I was born to do.”_ Believers who’re waiting for visions forget Moses wouldn’t have had any Burning Bush encounter if he hadn’t acted in faith 40 years earlier back in Egypt!

The Believer’s life is characterised by faith. If you want your future destiny to be laid out in detail for you before you take a step then I’m afraid you won’t move far in your purpose. That’s just not how things work in God’s kingdom.

_“The wind blows wherever it wants to. You hear it, but you don't know where it is coming from or where it is going. It is the same with everyone who is born from the Spirit.”_ –  John 3:8 (ERV)

The just don’t just live by faith; they also walk by it. Whether in marriage, in ministry, in business, or even in national matters – a lifestyle of faith will lead you to make decisions that are so bold, so picture-perfect, that everyone will marvel at your ingenuity and uncanny foresight…

…In retrospect that is.

AMEN...
PASTOR GREG ELKAN.
More Blessings await you today; you’ll not miss them in Jesus’ Name.
