ODE: 'WE ARE NOT POETS' BY STRIDA.

We are not poets..

we are warriors carrying sabre of truth,

of impossible dreams,

of wishes we are scared to write about

and we are not ambassadors of peace..

Peace was just another iroko with a flimsy root....

We are just humans carrying a backpack filled with brimmed fantasies...

about life..

about heaven

about the deafening silence biting at our liver...

KING FROST:

They say words are expression of our deepest thoughts,

And the weight of it's mood depends of the sweet bitterness that fall on our lots,

If then we write words as poems and rhymes like hymns,

It would mean that we are not poets but literal-harmonic victims.

We are called poets by thousands of men,

but really, we are just slaves of our pen!,

Ordinary people like poets are who we call ourselves,

alas!, we are not poets but books in another man's shelves.

AJAKAYE:

We are not poets,

we are swimming by the tails of emotions,

in the sea of reality and creativity,

breathes our immortal pen,

we are not poets,

or...

we are not just poets,

we are the representation of life 

in the domesticated jungle of letters.

Every moment of our life as a bee,

thinking faster than the scribbles of our hands,

the throat running thirsty all years, again and again,

this war of satisfaction is endless,

we write till our grave rescues us from this enviable nomadism,

we are not poets,

our messages in Literature are true,

they are very true.

We are Not Poets!

We're loners...

many souls have turned mourners 

inside cities full with atrocities,

atrocities of men sharing same communities.

We are not poets; we're paddlers of life's struggles,

carrying others against all odds,

our voices buried in deep holes,

when would we be heard; no one knows.

We are not poets,

we're fighters

with pens from different genders,

we represent nations without segregation,

inking words to sooth each other.

We're not poets,

 we're the image of God's creation,

where perfection is found only in divinity,

bearing offspring with royal identity,

with total ability; all living in unity.
