'GOD DOES NOT UPBRAID' BY PASTOR GREG ELKAN.
James 1:5 makes us to understand that we serve a giving-God who gives to all men liberally and upbraids not. Another reason why Believers struggle to pray for a miracle is because they think it’s too big – not too big for God to do, but too big for them to receive; especially considering who they are and what they’ve done before.
Nevertheless, as we’ve already established, God is not a man (Num 23:19); He does not upbraid or reproach you for asking. God does not say, _“Lookey who we have here! For 6 months she never bothered to talk to me, even for 5 minutes; now she has a problem and all of a sudden wants to pray fervently.”_ No, God’s not like that. God’s doesn’t bring up your past sins either, telling you about how unqualified you are for this miracle, or how you ungratefully squandered the last breakthrough He gave you.
Likewise, God doesn’t keep score in your prayers. He doesn’t reprimand you for daring to ask any more thing after all He has already blessed you with. No. The Amplified version of Jas 1:5 says, _“God… gives to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or fault-finding.”_ So, get your faiths up Beloved, go boldly unto the throne of grace, obtain mercy and find grace to help in your time of need, (Heb 4:16).
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us: And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we desired of Him.* – 1Jn 5:14-15
