ROMANTICISM- 'SECRET AFFAIR' BY AJAKAYE STRIDA.
It happened so fast as lightening,
and I do love you,
such a wild affection between an old tortoise and a young butterfly,
I still love you than the night loves the day,
or the day loves the night?
Children of the sky but what lawful siblings they are.
I love you that I can not classify you with 'very much',
maybe we think it is a parole thing
but I am really in love again,
like I loved my ex.
Loving is harder than a tortoise's shell,
but to love is a 'Call',
you disobey,
and then you write daily till death of nights.
Don't think I am a little, confused girl,
little girls don't respect men as I do.
My head wants to be on your black,
ebony chest always,
but people knock on the door
that second I begin to enjoy you.
The thing is most times...
I feel I am on this journey alone,
you don't want to ride this horse with me,
but you claim to watch me from behind,
I don't want our story being a 'Secret Affair' anymore.

The bards is so in love with a man older than she is and wishes she becomes his wife as soon as possible. She pleads that she shouldn't be seen as a little girl and her affection for him is plain and natural.
