ODE_'KINGDOM OF BIRTH (IJAGEMO)' BY AJAKAYE STRIDA.
The rich native land of Ijagemo,
the mad soil of my glorious birth,
crazy burning flames of happy woods,
where robbery and one million boys
feared to tread upon.
Let me leak you secrets of my native kingdom,
where Agbani Darego rooted the kind of hers,
to defy a virgin's plume
has a Judge in the palms of the gods,
to live after a trangress is an unworthy sooth.
Ijagemo mi owon,
the road to Ijegun allowing the jingles
of children in their parents cars,
zoom zoom zoom !!!
I resonate the tears of meeting Olasunkanmi
within the gallant barricades of my homey Kingdom.
The Kingdom after God's heart
is where my father rules,
where castles command the wings of doves,
where demons in the soul of shapeless witches
cease to exist.
Hurray for these hunters and farmers,
ready with guns for lions,
fertile with leaky for beans and sugarcane,
no promise land as our Canaan,
my words fear the peace their eyes meet
all days in Ijagemo.
AJAKAYE RASHIDAT OLAMIDAYO.
