JEREMIAD ON ROMANTICISM_ 'LOVE DRUNKS' BY AJAKAYE STRIDA.

His heart was just as mine,
every moment so fulfilling
as I have always been waiting for a 'possessive lover.'
Someone to call me a million times,
while on the road to Ijegun from Ajakaye's palace.
The piercing on 16th of October, 2000 and 'I don't know'...
We were 'worry wonders' of love,
a second after opening my eye lids
was surrounded by his imageries around me.
'Hello! Are you in shop?',
snaking as flames upon our skins,
like... I was sure we must  marry or we die.
Swapping of phones to test our faithfulness
was never an issue,
we were sure of each other,
just as my readers can vouch the mercy of earth amongst planets.
A day without him?
A day without me?
We will go mad over the phone
and load heavy cards that MTN and Etisalat will jubilate.
I felt so lucky, so young to be Mrs. Right,
he loved meals of my kitchen crackers,
I loved kneeling to pray for him every morning,
just in a single, sweet room
of Mama Adekunle's face me I slap you.

What, really happened Akorede?
Were my dreams too wild to curb your irascibility?
Too much a busy woman with dramas, poems,
even taking Suspense to the bed all night,
'I am tired; I promise a beautiful round tomorrow.',
These became my favorite words,
'Where are you? Your phone is tracked!',
He screamed all days while I felt tired on a bus,
most times after recording in the studio.
'Olami; can't you understand me?'

Ahhh... Eledumare!
When will Mine come?.

STRIDA_ Striking Ideas.

The bard laments how she loses a man whom she loves because he does not understand she is a busy woman to be too available for him.
