ODE: "UNVANQUISHED" BY SOMDATTA MITRA
Her fiery eyes, audacious in their defiance of subjugation,
Her indomitable spirit culminates in an unrelenting resolve .
To annihilate the demons of oppression.
Violence is not her intention;
Rather, the annihilation of society's demons becomes her raging tempest.
The metamorphosis of victimhood into victory, The resurrection of dignity from the ashes of adversity.
Goddess Kali is that determination dwelling within every woman,
who empowers herself. Not vengeance that consumes,
but a blazing phoenix
That transforms the ashes of oppression into wings of liberation.
Kali is the truth and reality today,
Within that enigma dwells a fire, a volcano of unvanquished feminine strength.
An unbridled inferno, perhaps evolving from the embers of suppressed voices,
Intrigued, fatigued by the recurring conflagration.
That Kali is the thunderbolt awakening the dormant volcano of collective feminine consciousness.
