SATIRICAL: "OLODO UPRISING" BY GODSON OSARENREN

With feet thundering,
Multitude multiplying.
Shallow runs deep into the brushes,
That paints our priorities.

Red carpet rolls out daily,
As noise is king,
Crowned by algorithm.
Standing barefoot at the gate,
Is the essence of the classroom,
Begging for recognition.

Olodo is now the new success story.
So portable,
Moving faster than a pro-peller.
The shallower the thought,
The merrier the fireworks,
The cameras,
And the convoy of mints.

Libraries gather dust,
Brains gather cobwebs.
As only AI thinks and inks,
Copies and pastes.

With feet thundering,
Multitude multiplying.
Shallow runs deep into the brushes,
That paints our priorities.

“Olodo Uprising” by Godson Osarenren is a satirical poem that criticizes the growing celebration of ignorance, shallow thinking, and social-media popularity in contemporary society. The poet contrasts the loud rise of the “olodo” with the neglected value of education, as noise and popularity become more celebrated than intellectual depth.

The poem highlights how algorithms, cameras, and public attention can make mediocrity appear successful, while classrooms and libraries struggle for recognition. It also criticizes the misuse of AI, particularly when people rely on it to think, write, copy, and paste instead of developing their own intellectual abilities.

In essence, the poem warns against a society that rewards noise and shallowness while neglecting knowledge and critical thinking. It calls attention to the need to restore the value of education, reading, independent thought, and genuine intellectual achievement.
