DR. AWELE ILUSANMI, FANA SUPPORTS 2025 CHINUA ACHEBE PRIZE WINNER WITH N150,000_ BY ANA MEDIA TEAM.

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has commended Dr. Awele Ilusanmi, FANA, for her generous support to the 2025 winner of the Chinua Achebe Prize for Literature. Dr. Ilusanmi extended an additional financial support of N150,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) to the prize winner, beyond the official award attached to the prestigious literary prize.

The Association described the gesture as a significant demonstration of Dr. Ilusanmi’s commitment to the promotion of literary excellence and the development of Nigerian writers. ANA noted that her intervention had added further value to the recognition of the 2025 winner and underscored the importance of encouraging writers who continue to contribute to the growth of Nigerian literature.

In a letter of appreciation jointly signed by ANA President, Dr. Usman Oladipo-Akanbi, and Acting General Secretary, Wole Adedoyin, the Association expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Ilusanmi for her generosity and described her gesture as worthy of commendation. ANA further stated that her example would inspire individuals and organisations to continue supporting literary excellence and the development of the Nigerian literary community.
