ANA CONGRATULATES NIGER STATE CHAIRMAN, AL-MAMUN MAHMUD MALLAM, ON HIS BIRTHDAY_ BY ANA MEDIA TEAM

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has congratulated the Chairman of its Niger State Chapter, Al-Mamun Mahmud Mallam, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an outstanding literary administrator, development practitioner, and passionate advocate of literature and community development. 

The association noted in a congratulatory message issued by ANA President, Dr Usman Oladipo Akanbi and Acting General Secretary, Wole Adedoyin that his commitment to advancing literary culture and fostering unity within the Niger State chapter has earned him widespread admiration among writers and literary stakeholders.

According to the association, Al-Mamun Mahmud Mallam has distinguished himself as an agricultural economist, writer, and development professional whose career reflects an admirable blend of academic excellence, public service, and literary engagement. A graduate of Agricultural Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, he has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to promoting literature and the arts while contributing meaningfully to sustainable community development.

ANA further commended his exemplary leadership since assuming office as Chairman of the Niger State Chapter in 2026. The association observed that, following his successful stewardship of the chapter's caretaker committee, he has restored unity, revitalized literary activities, and strengthened the chapter's engagement with writers and stakeholders across the state. It also applauded his role in championing the proposed Abubakar Gimba National Literary Colloquium, an initiative aimed at preserving the enduring legacy of the late literary icon and inspiring future generations of Nigerian writers.

The association also acknowledged Al-Mamun Mahmud Mallam's professional contributions as a Monitoring and Evaluation Project Officer supporting World Bank-assisted community development programmes in Niger State. It recalled his early recognition as an award-winning playwright through The Strength of a Woman and expressed confidence that his dedication to literature, development practice, and nation-building would continue to inspire others. ANA wished him many more years of good health, divine grace, and greater accomplishments in his service to literature, humanity, and national development.
