ANA ANNOUNCES 45TH INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION, CONFERENCE BY_ ANA MEDIA TEAM .

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has announced its 45th International Convention and Conference, scheduled to hold from Thursday, 29th October to Sunday, 1st November 2026, at the Mamman Vatsa Writers’ Village, Maitama Extension, Mpape, Abuja. 

The convention, with the theme “Literature, National Security, and the Place of Nigeria in the World,” is expected to bring together writers, scholars, literary enthusiasts and stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond for four days of intellectual engagement and literary activities.

The opening ceremony will be chaired by Dr. Bukar Usman, while Prof. Mahfouz Adedemji will serve as the keynote speaker. Other distinguished participants include CP Emmanuel Ojukwu (Rtd.) Fana, Dr. Alexander Ochogwu Emmanuel, Toyin Adewale-Gabriel and Odoh Diego Okenyodo, who will participate as panelists. Chinyere Obi-Obasi and Benjamin Ubiri will serve as compères for the event.

The four-day convention will feature a rich programme of activities, including speeches, literary performances, panel discussions, workshops and an awards dinner, among others. ANA said the convention is designed to provide a platform for meaningful conversations on the role of literature in addressing contemporary national and global challenges, particularly issues of security, identity, citizenship and Nigeria’s place in the world. The Association therefore looks forward to welcoming members, invited guests, literary practitioners and other stakeholders to the 45th edition of its International Convention and Conference.
