A giant does not fall by fate.....

it sleeps while thieves rewrite tomorrow.

Its wealth becomes a feast for few,

its children inherit hunger instead of hope.

Let justice become our language,

knowledge our currency,

integrity our anthem,

and unity our strongest shield.

When leaders choose service above power,

and citizens choose duty above silence,

the broken crown shall shine again.

Then Nigeria will not merely be the Giant of Africa....

she shall become the conscience of a continent,

where greatness is measured

not by oil beneath the soil,

but by the truth, dignity and the people who rise together.

The Giant Must Awaken! is a patriotic protest poem that laments Nigeria's decline despite its abundant wealth and potential. It argues that the nation's problems are not caused by fate but by corruption, injustice, poor leadership, and the silence of its citizens, allowing a privileged few to exploit the country's resources while ordinary people suffer.

The poem calls for national renewal through justice, knowledge, integrity, unity, responsible leadership, and active citizenship. It envisions a transformed Nigeria where greatness is defined not by natural resources but by truth, dignity, and a united people working together for the common good.
