DIDACTIC: "WHAT WE NEED" BY AWELE ILUSANMI
Can I give you a glass of water
So that your temper can calm down?
Minute by minute you become hotter
As your heart shows on your face with a frown.
Dignitaries seat in world top meetings
Discussing about making the world a better place
But you end up bringing beatings
With brutal wars to our faces
Our hearts are torn into pieces
Our mothers and children are crying
The joy we once knew ceases
Rising everyday are killings, hissing and sighing.
We are tired of hate, negativities and pains.
We need peace glove
To break all the bounds of chains.
What we need is unity, peace and love.
