DIDACTIC: "MANKIND" BY OKE FAVOUR.

Oh! Mankind you say,
Don't get your
hopes high.
They are lingering with deceit, hmmm.

You Speak of them
like it is a mere title, with voices aloud,
I shall Speak, only the
victimized shall sense the truth.

I shall Speak not just of what i know but of what i can back up with my claims.
Swallowed by every bit of injustice,
 i shall fight, not only
did our values drop but also our hopes.

How else could you watch me wallow in sorrow ?
And feel nothing or pain, it aches more to see everyone with a masked feeling,
not knowing how to face the next phase.

So I have heard many
give up after so many trials.
I know many opt for
other means after a lot and lots of rejection.

Is giving up really an option?

The poem "Mankind" by Oke Favour reflects on the deceptive and unjust nature of humanity, revealing the pain caused by betrayal, indifference, and the loss of moral values. The speaker criticizes a society where people ignore the suffering of others and where many lose hope after repeated disappointments and rejection.

Despite these harsh realities, the poet expresses a determination to fight against injustice and stand for the truth. The closing question, "Is giving up really an option?", encourages resilience and perseverance, suggesting that hope and courage should prevail over despair.
