OTUNBA ADVISES FUNKE ON HER BEHAVIOUR TO TOYIN
I'm a politician and I only enjoy discussing politics and governance on social media, but I must address this issue. I've seen some of my sisters supporting Funke Akindele's bad behavior towards Toyin Abraham at Iyabo Ojo's event. Funke, I'm not attacking you, but I must speak to you. As a leader, your status isn't easy. That's why we see President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar hug and laugh when they meet in public. That's leadership diplomacy, not that they don't have issues against each other politically.
Funke Akindele, you're a leader, so please behave like one. Stop behaving like an ordinary person. You're a public figure, and you mustn't let people see your horrible side publicly. We all have bad sides, and we keep them out of public consumption.
Funke, some of us weren't happy years ago when English Nollywood treated and spoke about Yoruba Nollywood poorly, looking down on Yoruba artists. We prayed and encouraged all of you, and today you, Toyin, Femi Adebayo, Adeolu Adekola, Iya Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, and our legend Kunle Afolayan, among many others, are making Nollywood proud.
Funke, you fought with Kunle Afolayan a few weeks ago, and now it's Toyin Abraham. Do you want to destroy the industry that made you? Please calm down, stop being arrogant, and behave like a proper Yoruba woman. I love all of you, and may God continue to increase your wealth, knowledge, and wisdom, and grant you long life. Funke, 'Agba ma gba ni ooo' - a word is enough for a wise man or wise woman.
Happy blessed week, my people.
