INSPIRATIONAL: “WHY WE SHOULD APPRECIATE GOD ALWAYS” BY PROFESSOR S.E. EGBOWON

You came to this world through struggle.
You survived the turbulent months in the womb.
You went through childhood to adulthood.
Numberless times you went through love, hatred, oppression and discrimination.
Many born the same time with you didn't go beyond childhood
Some ended up as House Helps
While some for no faults of theirs became victims of circumstances.
Some have sorrows trailing them.
Today you are alive.
Right now some people are dying.
I'm not better than them.
Have I ever thought of why I'm alive?
How many of my age mates are no more?
How much do I pay for the blood that flows in my veins?
How much do I pay for the air I brethren in and out every second?
How much do I pay for being alive?
If the owner of life were to take it now, can I survive?
Let us appreciate God.
Let us extend the love and mercy of God to others.
You are alive to give joy to others.
You are alive to give hope to the hopeless.
You are alive to give strength to the oppressed.
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good:
And His mercies endure for ever!
