DVC (ACADEMICS) INAUGURATES NEW LASUIS BOARD

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Oseni Taiwo Afisi, FSPSP, on Tuesday, 24th February 2026, inaugurated the new Lagos State University International School (LASUIS) Board at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room, 6th Floor, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Oluwatoyin Enikuomehin, alongside other senior officials of the University. In his remarks, Professor Afisi charged the newly appointed Board members to sustain and further strengthen the high standards for which the School is known. He emphasised that each member had been carefully selected in recognition of their experience, expertise, and proven capacity to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of LASUIS.

The Board is chaired by a Professor of Early Childhood Education, Professor Babajide Gbenga Abidogun, while the Deputy Registrar (Junior Staff Establishment), Mrs A. A. Olukoya-Shuara, serves as secretary.

Other members of the LASUIS Board are Professor Latifat Oludare Yahya; Dr Tijani Abayomi Akapo; Engr Solomon Omoniyi Salami; Mrs Oluwakemi Temitope Bada; Dr Sakirat Aderonke Ifenaike; Mrs Omotola Oluwakemi Dosunmu; Dr Abidat Oluwashola Mohammed; and Dr M. K. Fasasi.
