AMATORY: "LEAST I FORGOT" BY TREMENDOUS WENYU
Least I forgot
that true love still exists,
perhaps it’s just my eyes
clouded with lustful mist,
chasing fleeting shadows
while calling them desire.
Not to justify
my selfish ways,
but even scripture whispers:
“Let the heart yearn for its own.”
Mother once told me,
“Don’t hesitate
when your heart speaks truth,
let her know.”
Least I forget
that I’m just a random me,
hoping she sees
something worth loving
in the mess I call sincerity.
