DIDACTIC: "ONLY FOR A TIME" BY OGECHICOJIDYKE

This pencil painting of Our great President prompted me to write the following poem!

This painting reminds me of the futility of life!

We are here only for sometime

We bask in the futility and fluidity of time

Believing that 'morrow will be better 

Yet chained by the future Fetters

Fetters of the Unknown

Drawn by the Creator Himself

Erased by the Creator Himself

Even our dear leaders are drawn by Him

Adorned with power and Majesty

Our stay is but a match-yet-thick

Thickened by Our influence 

Only for a time 

wallowing in this words fluence!

The poet persona has been inspired by the pencil painting of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The speaker says man is only in the world for sometime and would eventually leave at God's appointed time. The bard says one should always remember that struggling for a temporary better tomorrow.
