 Drama in the celeb zone again as Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin breaks her silence over the saga surrounding gospel singer Tope Alabi’s shocking refusal to perform at her surprise birthday party. According to reports, die-hard fans of Lizzy went all out and spent millions of naira to book the gospel icon for a surprise appearance. But in a dramatic twist, Tope Alabi allegedly declined to even step out of her car after finding out who the celebrant was.

Now, here’s where things got spicy. Lizzy went live and revealed that she had absolutely no idea her fans were planning to bring in a celebrity guest let alone a gospel singer. And when she heard about the huge amount of money spent on the arrangement? She was stunned.

 “I am a Muslim and I didn’t expect my fans to invite a gospel singer to my birthday. They should have invited an Islamic singer who is my fan.”

But babe didn’t stop there she flipped the whole thing into a powerful callout. She questioned why people would blow that kind of cash when a pregnant woman recently died because she couldn’t raise just ₦500,000 for hospital bills.

“The millions my fans sent to her could have been given to beggars on the street or people that need their hospital bills to be paid. I already warned my fans to stop wasting money.”

And just like a boss, Lizzy made it clear that no gospel performance no matter how anointed defines the joy of her special day.

“I can never use my money to call Aunty Tope Alabi to sing for me. The best of her songs is in her album and I can easily play it in my house… Aunty Tope, I love you but I don’t need you.”
