To a multitude uncounted you have brought joy,

And extinguished their sorrow which like a wanton boy,

Could their lives destroy

Like Helen of Troy

Who burnt the topless towers of Ilium with her pretty ploy.

Sir, everywhere you are, your luminous presence

Gives extraordinary potency and essence

To anything around either sense or nonsense.

You are a quintessence

Of old school literary reminiscence.

I must say with certitude

And a myriad of gratitude

That with your delicate health without lassitude,

You have brought a mammoth crowd out of grinding decrepitude 

To the lamplight, and others out of academic servitude.

If everybody could love someone at all,

Everybody would love you once and for all,

For you never hesitate to answer anybody’s call.

With all your might, you guard them against their imminent fall

Till again on their feet they stand tall.

Your refined fluency,

Your artistic presidency,

Your civil decency

And your angelic leniency

All coalesce to compose your spiritual buoyancy.

There is an iota of Bernard Nsokika Fonlon 

In your modus operandi which will never be forlorn,

And like the Bells of Shandon,

It will keep ringing till in London

You take a permanent residency as did Lord Byron. 

On Anglophone Cameroon theatre you have imprinted a hallmark 

As your destiny did earmark,

And I can now hark

That Shakespeare’s lark

As on your journey for further studies you embark.
