CELEBRATING INCARNATION - HOLY DAY" BY DR ODE
Today, as everyday,
when a soul is saved
or a child is named,
we celebrate the incarnation.
The time in history,
space and chronology,
when God became Godman-
the kairos moment in chronos time,
when a decision made lapsarially,
eons before time was, entered into time
and the bailiwick and purview of a mindless humanity!
When the shepherds watched their flocks
When the angels came down and light pierced the uncomprehending dark and songs
were passed around like celebratory bubbly
or a castella cigar announcing the birth
of a child; the child!
When the Holy Day became a Happy Holiday,
though it is often better to be Holy than to be Happy!
His star appeared in the East
Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar
saw it and came as sensitive seekers.
Sensitive, because they went back
a different way, though Rachel's children
still died and the celebration at the birth
was somewhat muted because of the
attending deaths!
And now we cut to the chase
From the determination in the councils
of the Godhead to the incarnation.
All the way through to the restoration
of all things.
And a merry celebration of Christ
to you all and let it be Indeed a good
year in view!
