JESUS IS THE ONLY SOLUTION TO SIN- BY GREG ELKAN
-“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.”_ – Jn 14:6
John 14:6 is one of the most recognisable verses of scripture. It’s also one of the most hated!
Christianity’s claim of exclusivity is one of the main problems people outside of the faith have with it. After all, the world is made up of diverse groups of people with diverse cultures, histories and beliefs. To claim that yours is the _only_ way to Heaven is sheer bigotry and cultural intolerance.
Nevertheless, this scandal will perhaps be resolved when we take our eyes away from Christianity and focus on our common problem: Sin.
A fact that secular science and anthropology heavily downplays is that human beings are not just a single species, but a single _family_ – not in the taxonomic sense, but in the literal sense of the word. The evolutionary narration of different hominid species merging over 6 million years does not hold up to either the DNA evidence, or our manifest recorded history.
As any objective anthropologist will testify, regardless of culture, we are all a single people, with a common spiritual problem. And when God, our Creator, intruded into our history in the Person of Jesus in order to deliver us from the consequence of the Sin that we brought on ourselves, it was not one of several intrusions. He had not done it before then, and will not do it again.
The Cross is _the_ solution to the Sin problem that our common father, Adam, brought into this world.
Expecting God to have solved the problem in different ways depending on your culture or belief is naïve and unrealistic. You do not send a series of unique, culture-appropriate lifeboats to save a group of drowning people. You send ONE to save them all.
_“So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus Himself?”_ – Heb 2:3 (NLT).
_“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved,”_ – Act 4:12.
_“For there is one God, and there is one who brings God and human beings together, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself to redeem the whole human race. That was the proof at the right time that God wants everyone to be saved,”_ – 1Ti 2:5-6 (GNB).
_“And this is the witness, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son,”_ – 1Jn 5:11.
AMEN.
More Blessings await you today; you’ll not miss them in Jesus’ Name.
