JEREMIAD ON ROMANCE: "BEYOND THE SHADOWS" BY MAGEADONIS

You came to me, with the brightest of smile
I thought we were going to go, the limitless mile
I was quick to fall and nestle in your embrace
little did I know, your solace will take away my peace

You lead me on, forcing me to see a fake light
Now that you're gone, I'll tread in this night
I faintly thought we'd make a great pair
But your true embodiment was a guise of despair

Your kisses lured me in, gave me a false aspiration
it goaded me to believe, but all I face now, is my own damnation
You gave me wings to fly, but you kept me in a cage
Now I sing a song, that fills me with pure rage

I wish this spark would fade, like the last breath I drew
But no one would come, to give my heart a sew
All that's left is pity, but I wish you never left this city

For the ghost of what we had, for the love we used to share
but it's gone, and I'm left with this empty air
You're a memoir, like a well pastured meadow
But you showed your colors, now I'm filled with disgust for your shadow

I will sit and think, and forget all your caresses
I'll fight with all my might, so you don't become my nemesis
You were a lesson, that anchored a lot of messages
You taught me how, to go through all this passages.
