APPRECIATION TO 2021 BY SALIU YEMI.

Definitely, it has been a 365 day journey through the year 2021 and I can confidently say every step was taken with the grace of the lord and this day is dawn before our eyes by his decree of it to be so. I'd give him the very thanks he truly deserves and for his goodness and mercies that's worthy of our praise.

I'd say a very thank you to my father for the sacrifices that brought me this far, for the invaluable words, I never could be more grateful.

To my mother, I can never be more blessed to have been born of you. Verily, you are a gift of the most high manifesting before me in the form of flesh and blood. Thank you for being part of my year.

My appreciation would not fly without saying a big thank you to my brother. You are much more than the hundreds I never had. I had a successful 2021 because I boarded it's cruise with you and I know with you, 2022 would be another very beautiful tale to tell.

I'd show appreciation in the absence but to the memory of my sister. Though it hurts you may never have to read these lines, it gives us succour that we love and still love you so much and no death nor end can ever change that.

To my very many relatives, cousins, nephews and nieces, uncle and aunties, thank you for making a significant part of my 2021. let's meet again in the spirit of a better 2022.

To my friends, forgetting not their efforts that made my recipe of preparing a better and beautiful year for me. Thank you.. To these that I hold so dear. 2022's tale would be fun to tell someday nigh from now.

Thank you the very large Jogs family. For the years of the great past and these times prelude to the bright of today. I am very grateful.

To the entire Civil Engineering set of 2018, thanks for the beautiful years of the past that has brought me this far to the present and these still that would plummet me to the greater extremes of the future.

I'd appreciate the entire team and students of Epic Model College. you all made a great part of my 2021 and thank you for the consideration and understanding even when I do not measure these gestures.

I never can speak to end "Thank you" without saying these words to the Wema Bank Family and I'd speak more of these to the OOU team. Thanks for making for me a bright part and these directions that saw me through the year 2021.

I'd play tunes of gratitude to you, just you who took time to read this piece this far. Thank you is my least to show you how wonderful you have been in this adventure. Thank you and Thank you now and always.

I'd plead for the forgiveness of the very many I erred during this ride of 2021. I say these words with the burst of sincerity that I'd always keep up efforts in being a better man.

To the so few that may have offended me during the year, you can take a bold step into 2022 with the trust that we've always got a new reason to be forgiven and these forces that break us is never strong as those that bind us.

I'd call 2021 an eventful year with it's own smooth and rough rides. Now the end we are today having taken these travels with the hands of prayer, love of family and friends, great wishes of the well wishers, hope that we'll stay till the very end and the trust that the more we get together, the happier we shall be.

I'd also seize this opportunity to beckon on the conscience of man. drawing it's attention to a failing economy, threat of societal peace,  potential great purge of climate change, the unapologetic burst of disease and pandemic. I'd plead with these moments to call the conscience of man to hearken to the words of individual good that opens to the larger better as we know it.

If you have read these lines, definitely our travels are far from over even though our journey from start is far behind us. 

Should we meet once more tomorrow, we meet in not just another day but another year to start again.
