Lorette ' WHO WILL SAVE US? '
Yes, who will tell us the way forward?
Who will think for us?
Who will act for us?
Who will start for us?
Too many questions buzzing my mind?
The thought of how we've waned,
such decay, an eyesore it is,
yes, the state of our nation.
Someone said...' Change begins with you. '
Who is the ' You ' being portrayed?
If ' You ' is me, then who are you?
Maybe I am the You and you can be the Me
Hahahha...sarcastic isn't it?
But the truth be told,
the decadence we are in is unpalatable,
it is paradoxical if I must say.
That we hate to go forward and prefer to suffer,
we condemn corrupt people but do Same,
we beat our children when they lie but lie about buying them gifts
we talk about change, but we remain stiff necked.
Who will save us?
That's the question that's left unanswered.

This nationally consciously piece laments over the unpracticed policies of a State. The members of this State push the desired change to everyone. The poet is confused and thinks who can help this unmentioned State.
