Article ' THE FIGHT IS FOR US OR THEM?'

  ASUU vs FG

In the beginning I was tinkled pink, thinking The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) actually wanted the best educational system for us in Nigeria as they envisaged and I couldn't wait for school chapter to join back then. But now feeling under the weather when I got to know they're beastly using us as bait to get fortunes into their pockets.
It's no-brainer to see what ASUU is trying to achieve, they got no plan for the students in their fight but plans to increase their fortunes instantly. But should it be at the expense of the students? I think they got no particle within us.
I thought students were going to use their loaves and cry out to be heard by the  world in order for superior powers to intervene, not until I discovered we've channeled our energies on ten years challenges and irrational thing. Gosh, such a mess we portrait.
Maybe they were right to use us as a bait in getting their fortunes since we happened to be bunch of unreasonable brooms.
I wonder if there's someone to tell ASUU to put sock in it because what they're asking for can only be gotten when pig flies.
What they're asking for can cost an arm a leg. Imagine, after ten different meetings they couldn't see eye to eye with the government on the deal they're fighting for and they kept yearning they're fighting for the students. Students they said? When we're busy rusting at home. If they really want to fight for us, they should stop all the money that do go to Federal Government pocket. I think that would finetune the deal.
I can't imagine the certain percentage of students that would be on cloud nine if they strike a deal this week and call off the strike.
ASUU is not fighting for students by any means, maybe we the students need to wake up and act sooner than later.

SaveUsASSU.
EndStrikeASUU.
EndStrikeGOVT.
